CONTROL PANELS
Electrical control panels are designed and used to control mechanical equipment. Each one is designed for a specific equipment arrangement and includes devices that allow an operator to control specified equipment. Electrical panel components control every piece of equipment in every industry. It’s difficult to describe all possible combinations because every industry and most companies have defined component preferences.
MAIN DISTRIBUTION BOARDS
Power Distribution is a system, consisting of a Main Distribution Board (MDB), Sub Main Distribution Boards (SMDBs) and Final Distribution Boards, by which the electrical energy is transmitted via branches to reach the exact end user. An MDB is a panel or enclosure that houses the fuses, circuit breakers and ground leakage protection units where the electrical energy, which is used to distribute electrical power to numerous individual circuits or consumer points, is taken in from the transformer or an upstream panel. An MDB typically has a single or multiple incoming power sources and includes main circuit breakers and residual current or earth leakage protection devices. A MDB is comprised of a free standing enclosure, a bus bar system, MCCB's, metering and support equipments and required current transformers. Panels are assembled in a systematic manner such as incomer section and outgoing section.
ATS and MTS
Transfer switch is an electrical switch that switches a load between two sources. Some transfer switches are manual , in that an operator effects the transfer by throwing a switch, while others are automatic and trigger when they sense one of the sources has lost or gained power.
INDUSTRIAL AND MULTIPHASE PLUGS AND SOCKETS
Industrial and multiphase plugs and sockets provide a connection to the electrical mains rated at higher voltages and currents than household plugs and sockets. They are generally used in polyphase systems, with high currents, or when protection from environmental hazards is required. Industrial outlets may have weatherproof covers, waterproofing sleeves, or may be interlocked with a switch to prevent accidental disconnection of an energized plug. Some types of connectors are approved for hazardous areas such as coal mines or petrochemical plants, where flammable gas may be present. Almost all three-phase power plugs have an earth (ground) connection, but may not have a neutral because three-phase loads such as motors do not need the neutral. Such plugs have only four prongs (earth, and the three phases).
VFD PANELS
The VFD Panel (Variable Frequency drive panel) also known as VFD Control Panel are designed to control the speed of electric motor and feed pump. They are widely used in drilling, pumping and other large machine applications. The VFD panels are widely used in extruder plants, rolling Mills, tube mills, paper mills, cable industry and CTL Lines. Adjustment of the speed of the motor is the application, which is required in all the process industries & machinery Mfg.'s. Variable Frequency drive is used as energy saving device for some of the machines to save power during no load or it is used as final control element of the closed loop control application where the speed of the motor is changed to control one paramete. Some of the application is provided with manual speed control of the motors. These are the open loop control applications.
BATTERY CHARGERS
Battery Charger Control System (BCCS) provides web-based peak demand control for a wide variety of electro-drive and other load control applications. De-energize your non-essential battery chargers and other loads during the expensive on-peak demand periods by shifting to off-peak operation. The BCCS features LonWorks distributed controls, integrated power control contactors, and all hardware and software needed to achieve control of battery charger systems. All required control, remote monitoring capability and power switching devices are included in one simple to install, completely pre-wired and preprogrammed packaged solution.
CUBICAL BOARDS
An electric switchboard is a device that directs electricity from one or more sources of supply to several smaller regions of usage. It is an assembly of one or more panels, each of which contains switches that allow electricity to be redirected.
